Vice President of Energy Storage
Mr. Babbitt is a passionate visionary who has been on the forefront of the energy storage industry since the 1980s. A technical expert in energy storage, Mr. Babbitt has analyzed over 140 energy storage technologies currently available or under development. Today Mr. Babbitt directs RES efforts in grid scale energy storage development, engineering, construction and operations in North and South America. To date this includes 7 utility scale energy storage projects either in operation or construction for completion in 2015, for a total of 75MW, not including supporting the world’s first non-fuel Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) plant.
Mr. Babbitt previously founded Battery Power Systems of Seattle Washington, and worked at Microsoft Advanced Technologies. He is the inventor of four issued U.S. Patents, and five current U.S. and International patent applications.
