The Global Laboratory for Energy Asset Management and Manufacturing (GLEAMM) is a collaborative effort between Group NIRE, the industry, as well as academic and research partners to improve the management of large renewable generation capacity. Group NIRE will develop the largest and most integrated center utilizing field data for testing and certification of cyber security, weather forecasting and smart grid hardware, as well as software technologies to manage the electric grid.
Texas Tech University utilizes a multi-disciplinary research program where professors from different institutions can collaborate, in a non-competitive fashion, to accomplish key initiatives. The topics include computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, atmospheric science, civil engineering, mathematics and high performance computing center.
